I keep this prayer in the front of my Bible:
We moved to our home in Anderson in the fall of 2010 and immediately began our search for a church home. We had a friend who knew Anderson; she gave us names of different churches to visit. This was an important decision to make, a matter of prayer. The first church we visited was Kingston, and after visiting many others, came back to Kingston. We were in complete agreement, led by the Holy Spirit, that this was the church for us.
But why? The prayer above asks that our hearts and hands be used by Christ Jesus to grow more like Him. We know that Kingston is a vessel being used by God. Pastor Woodyard preaches in an expository fashion, and faithfully brings God's Word to this body of believers. The church is mission minded. The people are so loving and caring. We will grow in our faith and will serve in this place.
We can say with confidence, we are home and where God wants us to be.
