Sunday School
Our Sunday School is designed to reach others, care for its members, and study the Scriptures. As our church grows larger, it at the same time grows smaller through our Sunday School. We believe that Sunday School is a great tool for growth in all areas. Currently we have three adult classes, one junior high and high school class, one fourth, fifth, and sixth grade class, one first and second grade class, and one Kindergarten class, we also have a preschool/toddler department and nursery. In April we are launching a new women’s Sunday School class. For your information, 2008 is a focus year to better equip our teachers and classes for growth. It is our intent to begin teacher training in early Spring.
Worship Kids Style
If you are a parent and want your children to experience relevant, engaging, and doctrinally sound material, check out Worship Kids Style (give web-link). During our Worship Services, we have a designated area where (Range) meet for study, crafts, life application, music, etc. We want to intentionally share the attributes of God with our children. At Kingston, we work hard to place great value on the spiritual education of our children. We consider our programs secondary to what should be taking place at home. Yet, we take full advantage of the time we have to lead and nurture our kids.
Team Kid (Wed)
On Wednesday evenings, we provide an avenue of Biblical growth and missions development for Kids 1-6th grade. The Team Kid Material is developed as a fun, high-energy ministry that encourages kids to know Jesus Christ and to grow in relationship with Him. The strategy includes: Bible Stories, Scripture Memory, Life Application, Missions, and recreation.
Read what two of our kids say about Team Kid: “I like Team Kid. We have snacks and we get to learn about Jesus. We also get to play games.” Kiley “I like Team Kid because we do a bunch of cool stuff. I also love to play games. Team Kid means a bunch to me. They take care of me. They pray for me. And they do good things for people. That is why it means a whole lot to me.” Miranda
Discovering Kingston
This class is a point of entry for new believers or for anyone interested in learning more about our church. It is a six week class, taught by our pastor. It covers our core beliefs, mission, and vision. It is a great class that affords the opportunity to understand more of who we are and how we operate.
Children’s Choir
As KABC continues to grow, we plan to develop a strategy to encourage our kids to sing about the greatness of Christ. Currently, we offer children’s choir at Christmas time and on special Sundays. For more information please contact the church office.
Care Groups
Our care group strategy has three components: fellowship, prayer, and devotion. Our hosts are very excited to open their homes to you. You will enjoy this laid back time in a small group setting from KABC. Your hosts spend time praying for their group and reflect on how to make the fellowship more meaningful. Our first year average of total participation was over 60 persons. This year is sure to be just as successful and meaningful. Our goal is to break the 100 mark. If you want to connect, then try our care groups.
